Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership - Award for 14 to 16 year olds

The Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership (SL1) is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to assist in leading purposeful and enjoyable sport/physical activity, under direct supervision.
About this course: A fantastic opportunity to access this qualification FREE OF CHARGE!! Open to a limited number of learners from 14 to 16 years of age, this course and runs over 4 days from Tuesday, 29 August to Friday, 1 September 2017 from 10am to 3pm daily.
About the venue: Innov8 Sports CIC, HQ is located at Elcot Park in Marlborough with access to training and meeting rooms and the adjoining playing fields. This course is not catered and learners will need to bring their own food and drink.
Key content : Leadership skills including organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport.
Outcomes: Through a combination of guided learning (lead by Innov8 Sportz CIC's fully qualified tutors) learners sucessfully completing the course, learners will:
Know the skills and behaviours needed to lead others
Be able to use leadership skills and behaviours effectively
Be able to take on the roles and responsibilities of an official in sport/physical activity
Know the leadership opportunities available to them
Be able to plan, lead and review structured and inclusive sport/physical activity
Credits: The Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership (SL1) counts as 3 credits towards future leaning opportunities.
Attendence: Learners must attend the whole course. Failure to finish the course may result in a charge.
