About this event

For anyone supporting a bereaved child or young person aged 9 and over.

Losing a loved one is very hard, and for young people, grief can be especially confusing and isolating. As parents, family members, carers and professionals working with young people, we often want to help but may not know the best way to offer support.

What You’ll Gain from This Webinar:

Practical Tools – An introduction to Tough Stuff, a specially designed journal to help young people process their thoughts, along with worksheets to encourage meaningful conversations.

Understanding Grief – A look at key grief theories, including the Dual Process Model, to better understand how young people navigate loss.

Common Challenges – Why some young people struggle to acknowledge a death and how changes in identity (e.g., "You’re now the man of the house") can add pressure.

What Helps & What Doesn’t – Guidance on the phrases and responses that can support a grieving young person—and those that may unintentionally cause harm.

This interactive session will also allow time for Q&A, so you can ask specific questions and tailor the discussion to your needs.

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, carer, or someone who supports young people, this webinar will provide valuable insights and practical strategies to help a young person through grief.

Reserve your spot today and gain the confidence to support a grieving young person in the best way possible.

Cost: £30 – Bursaries are available for those on low incomes. Please contact us for a £10 discount.
