This unit will include:

The purpose and content of a CV and covering letter.
The importance of references, including the sort of people who would be suitable and those who would not.
How to produce a CV and covering letter for a specific job application.
How to identify opportunities and prepare for and succeed at an interview/remote interviews including how to communicate effectively.
How to be an effective member of a team by recognising the skills, roles and responsibilities required for specific tasks, including self-assessment of own skills and strengths
How to manage time effectively.

Delegates must attend all sessions:

Wednesday 16th February, 9:30am - 12:30pm
Wednesday 23rd February, 9:30am - 12:30pm
Wednesday 2nd March, 9:30am - 12:30pm

Sessions will take place online using either Zoom or Google Classroom. A link will be emailed to you prior to the start date.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

These are the standard terms and conditions as applicable to the scheduled courses run by WBTC under their training portfolio.

1. Reservation of a place on a training course

1.1 Reservations can only be accepted through the official booking system Eventbrite

1.2 The person making the reservation must be authorised to make a booking on behalf of themselves and their employer

1.3 In making a reservation you are agreeing to these terms and conditions on behalf of your employer and therefore agreeing to any costs incurred

2. Cancellation

2.1 WBTC require a minimum of a weeks notice (five working days) to cancel a delegate’s place on a training course

2.2 Failure to cancel a delegate’s place on a training course with less than five working days notice will result in your employer being charged, in full, for the cost of the training session

2.3 It is possible to amend the name of the delegate attending the training with 48 hours notice. In this situation we would ask that you speak to a member of the team at WBTC

2.4 WBTC reserve the right to change, cancel or amend the times, dates and duration of a course should a situation deem this as necessary. In this unlikely event WBTC would liaise with delegates/employers to seek an alternative option should the replacement training course offered not be suitable or refund as applicable

2.5 Cancellations due to injury or bereavement will be referred to the WBTC Managing Director for consideration

2.6 Once a delegate has logged on to the training course it will be considered they have attended, for the purpose of invoice for training received
