This course is ideal for staff who work, or are looking to work, in a role involving the retail sale of alcohol in England, Scotland or Wales. The training ensures that delegates are aware of their legal responsibilities as an alcohol retailer and is a requirement for anyone looking to obtain a personal licence.
As well as legal framework, delegates will be informed of roles and duties in relation to personal licensing and the application process. We offer APLH training courses at centres across the UK, in-house at your premises, or at a local centre of your choosing.. .
Outline of Programme:
Introduction, Purpose of a personal licence, Validation of a personal licence, Health and safety requirements, Application process, Laws and legal framework, Licencing Act 2003 and Assessment.
The APLH level 2 training course is made up of guided learning hours with a 40 minute examination and delegates will receive an BIIAB accredited certificate upon completion. Delegates will be expected to engage in a number of group activities and our experienced trainers will be on hand to help guide through these sessions.
The law requires alcohol sales on licensed premises to be made or authorised by a personal licence holder. Individuals applying for a personal licence must hold a regulated licensing qualification such as the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (QCF).
