About this event

  • Event lasts 7 hours

The Introduction to Trainer Skills course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of a systematic approach to training. It is comprehensive in content, building the skills, knowledge and abilities of participants that are required to be an effective trainer, irrespective of the subject being taught. The course is equally valuable for those who want to gain new skills and confidence in presenting information to others and passing knowledge to a range of audiences in a clear and engaging way.

Who is this course for?
This accredited qualification is aimed at individuals who may have to deliver training internally or externally as part of their role or those considering offering tuition in their own specialism. The concepts explored in the course are applicable to any type of sector or interest, whether teaching practical/vocational skills or working in more theoretical 'classroom' type settings.

What is covered?
On completion of the Introduction to Trainer Skills, learners will be able to understand the needs of their audience and have the tools to plan, deliver and evaluate effective training which can be applied to any subject.

The course is based on the training cycle, covering three main areas:

1. Planning (including session planning)
2. Delivery (participants will deliver a 15 minute 'session' that they have planned)
3. Evaluation (self, peer group and course evaluation).

There are no prerequisites to attend this training.
