Level 2 Foundations of Chaplaincy Practice: Roles, Skills and Reflection
Overview
This course introduces the key principles and roles of chaplaincy, equipping learners with foundational knowledge and practical reflective skills.
Learners will explore the role of chaplains in different settings, examining their responsibilities and duties.
Ethical considerations, confidentiality, safeguarding, legislation and the importance of self-care will also be addressed. Learners will be able to provide appropriate spiritual and emotional care in their reflective praxis.
Inclusion and diversity will be core to this module as well as a consideration of secularisation, culture differences, varied expressions of spirituality in chaplaincy. Throughout this unit, learners will reflect on their own values, experiences, spirituality and responses to different situations.
Through self-reflection, learners will build deeper self-awareness, chaplaincy skills, enhancing continual professional and personal development.
