What You Will Learn:

  • How to implement the Baby Friendly standards in early years and community services.
  • Supporting parents during pregnancy and the early postnatal period.
  • Protecting and supporting breastfeeding, including responsive feeding.
  • Supporting parents to make informed decisions about feeding and introducing solid foods.
  • Understanding how responsive feeding and close relationships support infant brain development.

Who Should Attend?

  • Staff who work with families, including those running groups (e.g. Stay and Play, Baby Massage) or providing one-to-one parenting support.
  • Early years practitioners who engage with parents but do not have specific responsibility for breastfeeding support.
  • This training will not cover the requirements for Health Visitors or Midwives.

Important: If you have not already completed Level 1 training, you must book and attend a Level 1 session before attending this Level 2 training.
