This Level 2 course takes place over the following 3 sessions: Saturdays 5th, 12th, 26th November. All 12:00 - 13:30 at University Academy Keighley. Registering for this first session means you are booked onto all three dates, you don't have to book the sessions individually.
Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the session as we need to get each participant matched up with a bike and ready to ride.
CityConnect Cycles: Free cycle training for adults!
If you have completed a Level 1 course with us, then this is your next step. Or if you can already ride a bike but are not confident cycling on the road, then Level 2 is what you need. To start Level 2 training you need to already be able to look over your shoulder while cycling, and signal left and right while cycling; the instructor will check that all participants can do this at the start of the session.
Practising on quiet roads you will learn how to tackle junctions without stress, and use positive road positioning to get yourself a bit more room on the road.
Whilst we can provide a bike for you to use at the sessions in Keighley, ideally you will need to have your own bike to practise on, which must be in good working order. If you do not have access to a bike, please email the instructor, Anna, at least a week before the first Level 2 session to arrange to loan a bike. You will then need to take this bike away with you and bring it with you to the following Level 2 sessions. There is no facility for storing the loan bike. Anna's email address is email@example.com.
Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers or something similar. Make sure you dress for the weather as the session will take place outside. This means warm clothes and gloves if it's a bit chilly and a waterproof coat if it looks like rain!
If you have chosen your course dates but there is one session you will not be able to attend, please talk to us and we can look at booking you on to one session of another course.
We are also running sessions in other areas of West Yorkshire. All courses and venues are listed on Eventbrite.
