This training is suitable for anyone working with children and young people across Dorset that have not attended Level 2 training before.

The course will cover:

- What safeguarding is

- Types of abuse young people may experience

- Symptoms of abuse

- How to raise concerns

The Safer Schools and Communities Team will also be in attendance to provide their Online Safety training, raising current trends and signposting to organisations and resources to use with young people or if you have a concern about online behaviour.

Refreshments will be provided but attendees will need to bring their own lunch.

This course is a prerequisite for anyone who would like to undertake the Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice.

Dorset Youth Association have been providing support for youth clubs and groups in Dorset since 1943. We are experienced in providing guidance and support on a wide range of issues including but not limited to governance, safeguarding, recruitment and strategic planning. As part of our offer, we also provide training to youth clubs.
