This course is a 3 day course - you will be required to attend all three days:
Monday 19th March 2017 9:15 - 17:00, Tuesday 20th March 9:15 - 17:00, and Wednesday 21st March 9:15 - 17:00.
Overview
The CIEH Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is a two-unit, three-day course that will enable successful candidates to act as a first aider in their workplace.
• Unit 1: Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
• Unit 2: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace
Outline Programme
The training programme for Unit 1 covers thefollowing topics:
•Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
•Assessing an incident
•Unconscious casualties (Recovery)
•Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
•Choking
•Bleeding & Shock
•Minor injuries
Unit 2 covers the following topics:

•Sudden Poisoning & Anaphylaxis
•Major illnesses (Heart Attack,

•Chest injuries
•Burns and scalds
•Eye injuries

If you are a First Aider is a high risk work place, this course is designed for you.

Suggested Progression:
Requalification is mandatory every three years.

The HSE strongly recommends that all First Aiders undertake an annual refresher course.
