NEW Paediatric First Aid Regulation Coming September 2025
From 1st September, all early years settings and schools must have a qualified paediatric first aider present during all meals and snack times.
We offer fully accredited Paediatric First Aid training to help you meet the new legal requirements.
Course content:
- Infant CPR and Safe use of an AED
- Child CPR and Safe use of an AED
- Choking Casualty
- Paediatric Wounds, Bleeding, and Shock
- Unconscious Casualty
- Catastrophic Bleeding
Not having a trained paediatric first aider during meals is a breach of the EYFS framework.
It risks children’s safety, your legal standing, your Ofsted rating, and your reputation.
Don’t be caught unprepared.
September 2025 = new rules, new responsibilities.
IMPORTANT: 1 day course does not meet the requirements for this change in legalisation. It only provides:
- Covers only basic, emergency response skills
- Is not sufficient on its own for settings that require Ofsted registration
- May be suitable for assistants or support roles, but not for regulatory compliance
The training you do need:
The 2-day (12-hour) Full Paediatric First Aid Course:
