About this Event
DSL Level 3 safeguarding training delivered by experienced safeguarding practitioners. These interactive sessions will be conducted online in small groups, allowing you the opportunity to ask questions, effectively learn at your own pace and adhere to DfE and KCSIE Guidance.
Course description
The course is aimed at Safeguarding Leads who have previously attended a full Level 3 course and require an update to their knowledge and skills. Breaking down the 2020 Triennial education sector report and the MyConcern review of the pandemic period, we will draw on Lessons Learned and how they translate into improvements to your everyday practices and procedures.

To develop and build on your knowledge and skills to identify, manage and refer safeguarding concerns appropriately. To work confidently to protect the children you work with by implementing improved procedures through Lessons Learned.

1.) Describe the updates in KCSIE 2020 and how these changes translate into your establishments
2.) Identify emerging themes arising from the 2020 triennial analysis report for the education sector
3.) Explain the complexities and challenges of identifying neglect
MODULE TWO
1.) Describe sources of risk and understand the consequences for our children
2.) Identify good practice in multi-agency working
3.) Explain the outcome and learning from the review of the COVID-19 period
