Including the full Paediatric qualification and certificate our 2 day Forest School First Aid course is an Ofqual accredited qualification that saves you time and money by combining 2 courses into 1. It’s specifically designed for leaders and assistants who are to be relied upon as first aiders during forest school, beach school, etc, sessions. It provides the knowledge and skills for the leaders and assistants to act as first aiders when help is up to 2 hours away.

Course syllabus includes:

• Understanding the role of the forest school first-aider
• The importance of Preventing cross infection
• The need for recording incidents and actions
• Use of available equipment
• Considering environmental factors in outdoor first aid
• Managing an unresponsive casualty when assistance is up to 2 hours away
• When & how to move a casualty
• Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
• Recognise & administer first aid, including primary and secondary surveys, to an infant, child or adult casualty including how to treat a casualty who is unresponsive, not breathing normally, choking, wounded and bleeding, injuries to eyes, bones, muscles, joints, chest, abdomen and pelvis. Suspected head or spinal injuries ,heart attack, stroke, seizure or an asthma attack
