This NCFE accredited Level 4 customised qualification has been created for professionals, supervisors, registered managers, responsible Individuals and senior managers working or managing services for children and young people in care.

Attendees will fully understand the profound impact of childhood trauma and how this leads to behaviours which can be extremely challenging for those caring for them.

This seven-day course will provide attendees with the knowledge, tools and strategies to effectively care for children by adopting therapeutic parenting and trauma informed principles into everyday practice. These principles will create safety, trust and a sense of belonging enabling children to heal, flourish and improve lifelong outcomes.

The qualification consists of five individual units:

  • Trauma, Brain Development and Attachment
  • Child & Adolescent Development
  • Complex Behaviours
  • Resilience, Self Care and Compassion Fatigue
  • Trauma Informed Practice

The course dates are:

  • Tuesday 7th/14th/21st October
