What does Levelling Up mean to you, though? How do we Level Up and create better places for all?
About this event
Levelling up means different things for different areas. Depending on what your area needs, it could mean improved local public transport or higher levels of research and development investment in the area that will create better-paid jobs
Civic Societies live, breathe and champion the places they represent. They are based in 71% of local authority areas, including some of the most deprived places listed on the Indices of Multiple Deprivation. Civic Societies draw on an existing network of active citizens to work focused on improving their local physical, built and social environment.
Civic Societies engage in trying to improve place based policy in their area. Civic Societies could be an increasingly important source for community involvement as the Government’s levelling up agenda.
What does Levelling Up mean to you, though? How do we Level Up and create better places for all? This is an invitation for Civic Voice members to join us for an informal discussion to consider.
The session will be chaired by Martin Hamilton who is Director of Leeds Civic Trust and a Civic Voice Trustee.
