About this event

Other

All three workshops are designed to help students fine tune and build confidence in their academic writing skills. Each workshop will be focused on a different cornerstone of writing an article for Leviathan, with the aim of preparing those interested in writing for us next semester and beyond. All skills covered, however, are also very applicable to coursework and other writing opportunities.

The first workshop on Thursday 16 October will cover thesis construction, so come along to learn how to craft a strong main argument and set up your article's topic and tone. The second workshop on 23 October focuses on research skills, so we'll go through what a reputable academic source is and how to find them. Our third and final workshop on 30 October will cover essay planning and outlining, helping students compile all their research and analysis into a logical structure that supports their thesis.
