About this event

Where do you want to take your writing?

In this final workshop we will prepare for the sharing event, where we will read or perform our work. As well as practising and developing our chosen piece, we will explore tools for public speaking and managing our anxiety. We will also look forward to the future and find ways to make writing a sustainable and normal part of our lives.

No experience necessary, everyone is welcome.

This is part of a series of six free workshops following Deptford Literature Festival 2024, which you are also welcome to book and attend.

About the artists:

Carinya Sharples is a writer and teacher living in southeast London. She is currently working on a PhD at the University of Leicester, exploring representations of mixedness in Guyanese literature. She is also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) alongside her studies.
