About this event

Following the Children’s Commissioner’s 2020 identification that only 9% of local authorities’ 2 year old reviews are fully integrated, the Local Government Association funded research to look at key aspects of how local authorities deliver their Integrated Reviews. This report included details of what the responsibilities of Healthy Child Practitioners and Early Years Practitioners are and how this information is shared with each other and with parents, to ensure positive early identification of children’s needs. This action learning set will provide an opportunity to hear about good practice, reflect on your own area’s integrated review and plan next steps in ensuring information sharing and early identification of needs.

It is presented by Kate Freeman, LGA associate who has a background in early years and health provision as well as close work with families and children with special educational needs and disabilities. Kate has worked with two local authorities in supporting the development of closer integration of their early years reviews
