LGAi Summit 2026
Connecting local authorities and AI – from challenge to impact

About the Summit
The LGAi Summit returns for its third year — bringing together people from across local government, digital, data and emerging tech to explore how AI can strengthen public services.
What began as a bold idea in 2023 is now a thriving community of more than 300 colleagues. Together, we champion practical innovation that makes life better for the people drawing on support.
This year’s theme, “Connecting local authorities and AI – from challenge to impact,” reflects the real questions councils are working through right now:
- Where can AI genuinely help?
- How do we build trust, capability and confidence?
- What does good look like in practice?
Across the morning, you’ll hear from councils and partners who are testing new approaches, overcoming hurdles and seeing early signs of impact.
