LGBT+ Bristol StoryMaps Workshop
Event Information
Description
Over the last year we've been developing a map and mobile app of Bristol's LGBT+ history. Now we want your help to create a series of digital story maps from the collected material.
Storymaps link points on a map to tell a story using images, text audio and video. See this one on Bristol's Bearpit as an example. LGBT+ Bristol story maps could focus on a person of interest, like Michael Dillon, a social movement or group like Bristol's Campaign for Homosexual Equality or one aspect of the diversity that is LGBT+ life. With over 150 LGBT+ points on the map ranging from the 1750s to the present, there is no shortage of material to draw on. The only piece missing is you.
No experience necessary. Food and refreshments provided.
The multimedia centre is an accessible venue. We can provide BSL interpreters - please contact the organiser and we will arrange it.
