The workshop is held over two consecutive Wednesdays from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. You need to attend both.
The MLK Chaplaincy are running workshops which will help LGBT+ students to examine how involvement in volunteering can help them build their CVs and demonstrate competencies to potential employers.
From these sessions you will be able to:
- Be able to identify employers who value diversity
- Be able to take advantage of employability materials and opportunities aimed at the LGBT+ Community
- Update your CV to reflect the transferrable skills you have
- Be able to match your values to the ones employers are looking for and be able to talk about them within interviews.
Who is this for? All students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer or Intersex
Everybody who attends these sessions will get a free portfolio and memory stick with information to take away and help them prepare for applying for placements and employment.
