As part of LGBT+ History Month at UEBS, we are delighted to host two esteemed speakers in a panel discussion on LGBT+ identities at work.

Join us and hear from Kevin Guyan, UEBS Chancellor’s Fellow, Cecilia Righini, Creative Businessperson of the Year 2023, and Vishal Kumar, Analyst at Canbury Insights Limited, covering topics such as navigating the workplace as an LGBT+ person and drawing on their experiences in working with a wide range of individuals, organisations, and communities. This event is hosted by UEBS Equality and Diversity Committee, all are welcome.

Kevin Guyan is a writer and Chancellor’s Fellow at UEBS, whose work explores the intersection of data and identity. He is the author of Queer Data: Using Gender, Sex and Sexuality Data for Action (Bloomsbury Academic), which examines the collection, analysis and use of gender, sex and sexuality data, particularly as it relates to LGBTQ people in the UK.

Cecilia Righini is Creative Director and Founder of Studio Lutalica, a design and consultancy agency for feminists and queers working with brands, organisations and individuals who share their commitment to improving the lives of women and LGBT+ people. They were awarded Creative Businessperson of the Year at the Great British Businesswoman Awards in 2023.

Vishal Kumar (he/him) is an Analyst at Canbury Insights Limited, a sustainable finance consultancy working with asset managers and pension funds to make investments more responsive to the climate crisis. He completed the MSc Climate Change Finance and Investment at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where he was awarded the Positive Action for LGBT+ Scholarship for his activism for the queer community. Outside of his climate work, he is a theatremaker and dramaturg with Happy Sad Productions.
