A journaling workshop for LGBTQ+ folks (16+).
Date and time

Adelphi Centre
Adelphi Centre Gorbals G5 United KingdomAbout this event
- Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes
Join us on Monday 11th August (6-7.30pm) to explore journaling as a tool for queer healing and creativity.
Whether you journal every day, or have never journaled before, this will be a chance to explore the art of journaling, and its role in queer experiences.
Journaling is a commonly used tool for a variety of mental health support and self-care. It is both a creative practice and an instrument for change and healing.
In the workshop, we will talk though and experiment with a range of journaling techniques such as freewriting, prompts and thought diaries, as well as different platforms and methods of journaling (voice recording, blogging, picture journals etc.).
Who we welcome
All LGBTQ+ people aged 16+ in Glasgow are welcome to join us.
We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
We also welcome people who aren't sure about their sexual orientation/gender identity, or who do not use labels for either.
Registration
Spaces are limited so we need you to register in advance.
Please use this Eventbrite form to register.
You can also contact the event organiser Sophie at sophie@lgbthealth.org.uk, or phone 0775 411 4045 and leave a message for Sophie.

The venue
The workshop is hosted at LGBT Health and Wellbeing in the Adelphi Centre (G5 0PQ).
We will send more information about the venue and how to access the event after you register.
Access
The Adelphi Centre and our event features:
- ♿️ Wheelchair accessible with level access
- 🅿️ Free parking and drop-off area at the front of building
- 🚾 Accessible gender neutral toilets
Please be aware the venue is not fully accessible.
There is level access throughout the building, but there are no electronic or touch pad operated doors (staff will be there to let you in). Likewise the accessible WCs are behind sliding doors.
These issues have been fed back to the Adelphi Centre and we hope they will be improved for all of our community members in mind.
