This event, being sponsored by The Francis Crick Institute, OUTBio and the Proud Science Alliance, will bring together people from academia, biotech and pharma with an exciting focus on leadership, innovation and investment in science. We will feature two panels speaking into the deeper parts of the queer experience in science-based organisations where leadership, innovation and investment are critical components of discovery, development, and commercialisation of scientific discoveries.

Whether you work in academia, at a start-up biotech or in a big pharma organisation, you will build your awareness and understanding and even provoke your own thinking about how being LGBTQ+ intersects with how we lead, with our ability to think creatively and innovate and with our relationship with investment.

We will welcome panel members from academia, biotech and pharma to provide insight across the science community continuum. This will also provide some insight for those considering where they might fit after studying or where they might want to explore new career options.

Important to the evening will be time before and after the panel discussions to make connections, new and old, over drinks and light food.
