About this event

Did you know it's been scientifically proven that listening to music can reduce stress levels by lowering cortisol production? Or that a A 2019 study found that college students who listened to classical music every day for two months had significantly lower levels of anxiety?

In this session, our facilitator Maddie will walk you through a number of relaxing, mood boosting activities surrounding music. In this mindful week starting group, we'll explore both creative, listening and practical tasks to eqqipt you with musical tools you can use to improve your wellbeing.

Activities will include making playlists, lyric writing, music appreciation, musical mindfullness and listening to new LGBTQ+ artists.

You don't need to have any musical knowlege or experience to come along to this session.
