The four modules Tracy will touch on are:

(1) Breaking The Binary

All you need to know about; sexuality, gender, gender identity, gender expression, breaking the binary and recognising difference, erasing the myths around LGBTQ+, and becoming confident with terminology and language.

(2) Removing the Barriers

Understanding the barriers LGBTQ+ people face in everyday life, prejudice, discrimination, homophobia, Biphobia, transphobia, harassment, and bullying, historical physical and, and emotional barriers, barriers unique to your services and spaces, how you can make your spaces safe and inclusive, and considering how you might bring your learning into your daily work and life.

(3) Social and Legal Transition

The things you need to know for early support of trans and non-binary people. Gender dysphoria, gender affirmation, legally changing name and gender, issues with data recording, puberty, gender expression and social transitioning, and gender exploration.

(4) Medical and Surgical Transition

The things you need to know for continued support of trans and non-binary people. Hormone blockers, cross sex hormones, masculinising hormones, feminising hormones, continuing health considerations, continuing support, and other support services and signposting.

Tracy will also be able to answer any questions around the new Draft Guidance for Schools and Colleges on Gender Questioning Children and give trusted guidance from other sources which can be considered in the meantime while the government consultation takes place.
