Looking for a friendly, welcoming space to meet other queer young adults?

Blossom LGBT’s Woking Hub is one of the only spaces in Surrey where you can connect with others and take part in a variety of hosted activities! Come join us for a cozy evening of coffee, chats, and making new friends. This is a safe space for young adults to connect, share experiences, and feel supported. Whether you're part of the community or an ally, all are welcome to join in the fun!

Let's sip on some coffee, enjoy good company, and maybe even play some board games or another ice breaking activity. It's a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and be yourself. Our space is designed for and led by LGBTQIA+ young adults aged 16–30. Whether you’re just starting to explore your identity or have been part of the community for years, you’re welcome here.

This Evenings Focuses

There's no pressure to get involved in any of the activities we plan; you're welcome to just grab a comfy chair and read a book if you'd prefer... but here's what activities we'll have available for you during the session:

🎨 Colouring BooksRelax and unwind with a cosy colouring session — all materials provided.

Alongside our special activities, we have a range of support available every single week, we want you to rest assured Blossom is here to support you!

  • Transition Related Needs (Such as unenrolled deedpolls)
  • Signposting to specialist services
  • Support with things such as benefits and entitlements
  • Advice & advocacy around statutory services
  • Workplace advice for navigating employment challenges

Being A Safe Space

We strive to ensure Blossom's spaces are a physically and psycologically safe places to be. 100% of the attendees at our most recent evaluation session felt Blossom was a safe space for them. To ensure this remains the case, all of our staff and volunteers undergo safeguarding training and have access to courses such as Autism 1-0-1!

Frequently asked questions

How Accessible Are You?

Our venue is wheelchair accessible, with step-free access throughout. We aim to make the hub welcoming for everyone, including those with sensory needs, quiet spaces and sensory items are available. If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please get in touch before the event.

Who can attend the LGBTQIA+ Hub?

The hub is for LGBTQIA+ young adults aged 16–30. Whether you’re questioning, exploring your identity, or have been part of the community for years, you’re welcome here.

Does it cost anything?

Not at all. You can take part in the activities, or simply relax, chat, and use the space however feels comfortable for you. That said, Blossom LGBT is a registered charity so if you can donate, we do appreciate it.

Can I come if I’m shy or don’t know anyone?

Absolutely! Many people come for the first time not knowing anyone, and we do our best to make sure everyone feels included and at ease - we have trained staff here especially to make sure you settle in well.

Will there be food or drink?

We always have free hot drinks available. Occasionally, we’ll have snacks or themed treats, which we’ll mention in the event description. You're also welcome to bring your own!

Can I bring a friend or ally?

Yes - friends, partners, or allies in the 16–30 age range are welcome as long as they respect and support our LGBTQIA+ inclusive values. If you'd like a parent or guardian to come with you then we'll be happy for them to wait in a quiet room next door.
