Event description

Description

The Scottish Government would be delighted if you could join us at our free event exploring options for heat system decarbonisation at The Engine Shed in Stirling on 30th October 2017.

This is an exclusive event for Scottish local authorities and selected key partners. The event is intended to give you insights into the latest thinking on options for heat system decarbonisation and will be of particular interest to those involved in strategic energy planning.

As the Scottish Government considers introducing a statutory duty for local authorities to develop Local Heat & Energy Efficiency Strategies, the event will cover a series of important and highly-relevant topics such as:

  • Update on the Scottish Government policy direction
  • The role of area based energy planning
  • The challenge of replacing our existing systems
  • Opportunities for heat electrification
  • Identifying where district heating works best
  • The prospect of supplying heat with hydrogen

Speakers include:

  • Ross Loveridge & Scott Brady – Scottish Government
  • Dr Keith MacLean OBE - Providence Policy
  • Dr Dave Hawkey – University of Edinburgh
  • Dina Darshini – Delta EE
  • Matthew Hindle – Energy Networks Association

We look forward to meeting you at what promises to be an enjoyable afternoon and another step forward for low carbon energy planning.

Please note that this event is only for Scottish Local Authorities and key partners and we reserve the right to decline bookings from organisations that do not meet this criteria. In the event of a high demand for tickets, we may limit the number of attendees per organisation.
