A talk hosted by the Landscape Institute North West Branch with Simon Ward (Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Lead at Atkins) and Mark Graham (Director at LDA Design). Both Simon and Mark are currently looking at different parts of Ancoats and will give a short presentation on their projects before a discussion around the future of this evolving neighbourhood in Central Manchester and the importance of public spaces in our cities particularly in a post pandemic world.

Ancoats is on the fringe of Manchester city centre has seen a dramatic change over the past 10 years as the old mills have been converted into flats and commercial units. It’s one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world according to a Time Out 2018 guide.
