Event description

Description

In this thought-provoking and inspiring workshop, poet Julia Webb offers new ways for writers to approach memory and the past. Using a mix of handouts, class discussion and a range of playful writing exercises and memory-mining exercises we will find new ways to access and evoke the past, and discover how using fictional characters and metaphor can offer exciting and liberating ways to write about difficult subject matter.

This course is not just for writers of poetry. It will also enliven, sharpen and inform any kind of writing— from prose to memoir. It is also aimed at writers of all levels, so whether you are just beginning your journey or need help progressing with personal subject matter, this course will be perfect for you.
