About this Event

This online sharing of experience event will assess how academic skills support has been delivered in the ‘new normal’.

We will be looking for services to share their experiences/challenges of delivering academic skills support online or in a blended way.

We also welcome services to share what has worked well/best practice especially around new technologies.

The programme so far is as follows:

10.15 EHU will present their experience

Followed by 3 more short presentations and time for Q&A

It will finish at midday.

If you have experience of any of the below and would be interested in presenting at the event, please contact Nicky Freeman (details below):

  • the challenges and successes of online T&L
  • designing good online teaching materials;
  • how to build in interactivity / engagement online (hints and tips);
  • creating accessible materials (PowerPoints / videos etc);
  • how to make inductions work;
  • use of Zoom/Teams etc

The event will be online and will be led by staff from Edge Hill University using Blackboard Collaborate. It is aimed at staff who deliver academic skills support.
