Libre Education Session Ninewells Hospital

About this event

NHS Tayside Adult Diabetes Service FreeStyle Libre Education Sessions are for people who meet the qualifying criteria for NHS Funded Freestyle Libre and have completed the Freestyle Libre Academy module.

Once you have booked your place you will be contacted to discuss your appointment as it may be possible to send out the Libre reader and sensor without you having to attend Ninewells.

You MUST bring the following with you to the education session:

• Libre Academy Completion Certificate (either printed out or on a device e.g. phone)

• A copy of your latest insulin repeat prescription to confirm your insulin regimen

Failure to bring these may result in you not being able to participate in the education session and your start on Libre being delayed.

Once you have attended one of our education sessions, we will contact your GP to advise prescription of further sensors. Please note GPs will not be able to prescribe Freestyle Libre until this letter is received.
