Learn how to draw the human figure in this 10 week Life Drawing course.

About this event

Sarah Jane Richards leads a programme of lessons to develop your skills in life drawing, including accurate measuring, shading and drawing techniques.

Tuesdays from 6:45pm - 9:00pm starting 25th January 2022, £160 for 10 week course finishing on 29th March 2022.

Suitable for both newcomers / beginners and for those continuing from previous courses, as the tutor will tailor the material to individual participants.

Programme:

The course is aimed at adults of any age, both beginners and the more advanced, who want to work directly from both the nude and clothed model.

The course will start with the basics of drawing the whole figure to achieve technical accuracy by learning how to measure. Once the student has learned the basic drawing skills, they can if they wish, through the guidance of the tutor, move on to the intermediate course and be introduced to using a medium of their choice: watercolour, acrylics etc.

Sarah Jane is an experienced tutor and artist, who has taught drawing to children and adults for many years.

Cost:

Materials:

Sketching paper – can be an A3/A2 hard-backed sketchbook or loose A3/A2 paper on a drawing board

Selection of soft pencils – B’s

A pen – can be a biro or a felt/sharpie/ medium tip

Masking tape

A3 cartridge paper pad 200gsm (30 sheets)

Rubber and pencil sharpener

Charcoal

Cancellations / Refunds

Once you have made your course booking you are committed to it. This is because our courses have very small student numbers, and often sell-out and are unavailable to others. Therefore any cancellations may result in a place not being filled, or a course not being able to run.Cancellations are permitted up to 30 days before the start of a course, and a full refund will be issued. Refunds will not be made for cancellations less than 30 days before the start of a course. If you are unable to attend due to illness, personal or professional commitments you do not have the right to a refund.If you wish to cancel your place on a course that has not yet started and you have a friend or colleague who can take your place we can accommodate this substitution.
