Do I need any previous experience?

Absolutely not! This class is fully tutored, and is a wonderful introduction, or re-introduction, to the beauty & joy of drawing from life.

Is it only for beginners?

Not at all! Although this is a 'tutored' class, it's not done so in the traditional sense, and this workshop can be truly useful to artists of any level that are seeking to shake up their practise, or explore new modes of expression

What materials are provided?

Drawing boards, paper & a wide range of drawing materials including charcoal, chalks & pencils will ensure you have plenty of options on the night. Feel free to bring your own along too though!

Absolutely! Anything that helps you get into the creative spirit is encouraged, though do bear in mind that we are here ultimately to focus so some restraint may be required!

Drawing from over 15 years of experience as a practising artist & educator, working with institutions such as The Wallace Collection, Mall Galleries, Village Underground & Sothebys, Dan Whiteson has cultivated a truly unique approach to teaching. With a dynamic, informal style and a focus on experimentation and creative freedom, this fully tutored class is suitable for anyone from beginners to those looking to shake up more established practises.

Learn to embrace risk, to feel the benefit of stepping outside of your comfort zone and to make work inspired by observation but ultimately shaped by your own artistic impulses... All with drink in hand! With all levels of experience and backgrounds joining each week, this is a great way to unwind with friends or meet like-minded people.
