The London School of Painting and Drawing are pleased to announce brand new drawing classes in Central London due to popular demand.
The new drawing classes will be held in the New Wing of Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 1LA (adjacent to the North Block, home of The Courtauld Institute of Art).
At the beinning of the term, students will have exclusive access to a selection of prints and drawings from The Courtauld’s collection of works on paper. A talk will be given by a member of the Courtauld’s Gallery staff .
Please meet, your tutors, Andy and Tom in The Courtauld’s main reception (second entrance on the left under the Strand Gate Arch) where the course will start with the print and drawings talk and a private viewing to provide inspiration for the start of your drawing term.
Drawing Classes: (7pm-9pm)
Summer Term - begins on the 9th May (Tuesday). Every consecutive Tuesday is a class.
Autumn Term - begins on the 19th September (Tuesday). Every consecutive Tuesday is a class.
Prices for the Drawing Classes will remain the same as last year - if you book early it's only £195.50 for the term! (All materials are included in your booking price).

Concepts on Proportion – Tuesday
•From the Egyptians to the Great Renaissance Masters to the present day, a life drawing class exploring how artists have ‘always’ depicted the human form through concepts based on ‘what is right’ towards the idea wishing to be expressed, not on the literal, and fallacy of anatomical correctness. Appropriate for all levels from the beginner to the experienced.
