Life Drawing in Bristol

This relaxed life drawing class takes place in Stokes Croft, Bristol on a weekly basis. We have a different live model each week who will take a variation of poses for you to draw. You can focus on whatever you like, bring whatever drawing materials you like and won't be given any rules or instructions (although we can provide guidance if you're stuck).

The Essentials

• The class is at Hamilton House, Stokes Croft, Bristol. You will be able to access the building via the main doors from 5:45pm, and class starts at 6pm. We're switching to Wednesday nights for the summer!
• ALL abilities welcome. The class is not tutored, but if you'd like some help or guidance, just ask.
• The model will usually perform a range of different poses from 5 minutes to 30 minutes in length, although some sessions may differ, and some have themes.
• We have paper, pencils, charcoal, erasers and sharpeners which are free to use. We strongly encourage you to bring along any other materials you'd like. We also have drawing boards and a few easels.
• The event is ticket only - you can only buy them here!

Upcoming Themed Sessions:

3rd July - Sequence - Host Beth will be modelling for this session, with poses that follow on from each other in sequence.

9th July - Cowboy - Anna will join us with cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and some rootin tootin poses, because why the hell not?

16th July - Journey - model Martin will be using poses based on making a journey or commute - thinking leaving for work, riding a train, hailing a cab...

23rd July - Short Poses - back by popular demand, this time with model Alex with will be experimenting with powerful and weird poses, between 1 - 10 mins in length. *****Please note, this class starts at 6:30 and finishes at 8pm this week!******

30th July - Model-led poses - new model Ting will be joining us this week!

Waitlist & On The Door

If a class sells out, you also now have the option of joining in our waitlist in the case of cancellations. If you join the waitlist and someone cancels, you will be contacted. If you're not contacted, sadly we don't have any space for you.

In case of any no-shows, you are welcome to try on-the-door. We can take cash or provide a QR code for payment, but we cant guarantee we'll definitely have a space for you and you may get turned away!
