Life, Loss, Learning and Legacy - Video-Storytelling event
Event Information
About this Event
'Your story could become someone's hope' Grief Awareness Week 2020 message
Storytellers, friends, family and organisations supporting in loss and bereavement in the North ......
Join us at this virtual event as we come together to watch a set of video-stories made in 2020 by storytellers on the ‘Life, Loss, Learning and Legacy’ Project (4Ls), that share their formative life experiences , how they have coped with loss and grief, and the learning that flows from these experiences. This event will take place on Zoom, you will receive the Zoom link after you have registered.
In the first part of the event, you will have a chance to learn a bit more about the ‘Life, Loss, Learning and Legacy’ project and we will watch a set of video-stories together, followed by opportunity for conversation and reflection. In the second part we will take part in relaxed, facilitated-discussions led by project Volunteers around themes surrounding grief that have come up during 2020’s 4Ls Projects- including grief in older age, grief in isolation and exploring individual interpretations of grief.
4Ls video-storytelling events are open to all and are a supportive space to share, reflect and learn from our own experiences and those of our peers.
‘The compassionate moderation and calmly judged pacing of the event created a special atmosphere that I don't feel at other events, and makes me anticipate a return for more.’
In particular, this event might be of interest/benefit to:
- people who have experience of loss and bereavement,
- people who have no personal experience of bereavement but would like to understand more,
- family, friends, staff, colleagues and volunteers in roles that support those affected by bereavement or end of life, for example in bereavement support, community development, healthcare, palliative and end of life care
Don't worry....You can still join us if you're not based in the North! We simply would like to use this opportunity to bring people, stories and networks together across the North; Yorkshire, Lancashire, North East, Midlands and all areas inbetween.
We really look forward to seeing you there,
