Event description
First life science management consulting symposium in Oxford. Three boutique firms will discuss the perks and downsides of consulting.

About this Event

Are you interested in management consulting but haven’t had the chance to explore this avenue yet? Are you curious about the works of a management consultant in the life sciences sector? Would you like to gain a deeper understanding on the business development aspects of biotech companies?

We are proudly announcing the first life sciences-focused management consulting symposium in Oxford. Speakers from three different life science consulting companies will join us on the 7th of November and will share with us their experience as life science consultants and describe the perks (and downsides) of the job. This will also be a great networking and career-growth opportunity, as we will host a reception after the talks, where you can meet and talk to our guests.

Deallus, Novasecta and Catenion are all boutique, yet global life science consulting companies and pride themselves in offering bespoke business, marketing and strategy solutions to biotech and pharmaceutical companies. They differ from the bigger consulting companies as they implement an expertise-driven approach, with most of their consultants having a life sciences background.

Please register your attendance on Eventbrite. This event is open to life science students, at an undergraduate and graduate level, and to early career researchers. To keep updated about career and scientific events in STEM, join our society by visiting www.opharmsoc.co.uk.

Location: Lecture Theatre, Department of Pharmacology, OX13QT

Time: 7th of November, 6PM-7.30PM (including Q&A session from 7PM)

Networking reception: after the Q&A session, 7.30-9PM
