About this event
Join us in the historic arts district of Bethnal Green, where we host intimate sculpture workshops in a warm, relaxed studio setting. Each session is guided by a tutor and life model and every participant has an opportunity to take home a finished piece.
Our workshops are open to all experience levels, from first-time sculptors to practicing artists, and are designed to be welcoming, supportive and enriching.
We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment. If you’re interested in joining but cost is a barrier, please reach out—we offer concession options and are happy to help you get sculpting.

The practical bits:
- Workshops run from 11:30 to 17:30
- Lunch is 13:00 – 14:00
- All the tools and materials are provided
- We work from a life model
- Tea and snacks are provided throughout the day
- Wear comfy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty. Some students prefer to bring an apron.

Absolutely! No experience is needed. Many of our students are complete beginners. You’ll be guided step-by-step by an experienced tutor throughout the session. Just bring your curiosity—we’ll provide the rest!
A life sculpture class involves sculpting a human figure from a live model, in our class we use clay. It’s a great way to explore shape, form, and anatomy in a hands-on, creative way.
All materials, tools, and equipment are provided. Just wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty or bring an apron if you’d like. We break for lunch from 13:00-14:00. You can go out for lunch (there are lots of restaurants around) or bring a packed lunch.
Yes, we work with professional life models, which often means nude poses. It’s all conducted in a respectful, focused, and artistic environment.

Yes, you’re welcome to take your piece home! Bring a cardboard or plastic box if you'd like to take it home the same day. Otherwise you can pick it up the following week.
This class is designed for adults (typically 18+), due to the presence of a nude model. We occasionally offer youth-friendly sculpture classes—please ask if you're interested.
