The programme consists of a dynamic combination of guided meditation and teaching, all aimed at enabling students to develop their daily practice and become skillful meditation practitioners.

Life – what is it all about? (March 2)

How can we make our human life truly meaningful? Gen Nyingpo will explain how by contemplating the preciousness, rarity and meaning of our human life, we can experience a joyful appreciation of our life and make a strong determination to seize its essential meaning.

Death – what happens when we die? (March 9)

In this session we will learn the three causes of death – the Buddhist teaching on karmically determined lifespan, merit and life force. Gen Nyingpo will also explain the minds of death and how we can apply this understanding practically to help ourself and others.

The big question – is there life after death? (March 16)

In this session we will learn about the intermediate state (the state between death and the next rebirth) and rebirth. Gen Nyingpo will also explain how our understanding of our mind can help us to understand the nature of death and rebirth.

Seeking protection ( March 23)

It is common to experience a fear of the unknown. In this session we will learn how the “three jewels” offer ultimate protection from suffering and fear.

How our mind creates our world (March 30)

Understanding karma is the gateway to future happiness because it enables us to uncover the hidden causes of happiness and suffering. In this session we will learn how to create the future we wish for and how to remove from our mind the heavy burden of negative karma.
