Janie Millman trained at The Guildford School of Acting. Her long and illustrious career focussed mainly on theatre including several appearances in London's West End, numerous tours not only in the UK but around India and the Middle East and last but not least an appearance as Leonardo the Ninja Turtle in a Glasgow shopping mall for which she is still receiving counselling and treatment.
To prevent herself from slipping below the poverty line she trained as a TEFL teacher specialising in commerce and spent many a happy hour in the city of London teaching unsuspecting Japanese business men the art of negotiation, prevarication and presentation.
A chance glimpse at a small photograph in an abandoned newspaper, left on a train she was not supposed to be on, led to a radical change of life and in July 2009 she and her husband, actor Michael Wilson, moved to South West France.
They spent the next year restoring a large eighteenth century town house to its former glory and somewhat miraculously opened their doors for business in 2010.

'Life's A Drag' was Janie's debut novel. The idea for the book started in a small Suffolk village, was researched in San Francisco and finely tuned in France.
