What Safeguarding Can Parents Expect in Workshops?

All workshops internationally, are led and directed by SEDi's senior instructors who have undertaken a current Enhanced DBS check (enhanced disclosures include the check against the children’s and/or vulnerable adults’ barred list). In addition, workshops are managed in an emotionally safe way: disclosure is voluntary and interactions are calm and respectful. Any disrespectful, abusive or disruptive behaviour is not tollerated and could result in the removal of young people if deemed necessary by the senior instructors. Parents can contact instructors for confidential feedback, but this is undertaken in the presence of the young person.

The ResilientMe online community is designed to provide 1:2:1 support and access to approved learning & development resources. In addition to this, young members have access to moderated and fully facilitated e-hangouts and forums which are designed to encouraged Social Learning (shared experiences, questions and answers, networking). Being an international community of young people, our moderators are vigilant to online commentary which can be culturally sensitive/offensive and take immediate action when breaches are identified.
