This is our first seminar in Scotland where we hope to enliven the debate on options for cancer in the UK.
We are delighted to be joined by two speakers who take an integrative approach to cancer care working with therapies for supporting the body through cancer and conventional treatment.
Dr Stefan Geider MD - Mistletoe: Its role in resilience and wellbeing
A medical graduate with a doctorate from University of Witten-Herdeke, Germany who has 18 years experience as GP principal at Camphill Medical Practice NHS, Aberdeen where he leads the integrated work of the medical practice and the third sector charity, Camphill Wellbeing Trust, providing community orientated approaches across health, education and social care.
His specialist interests are learning disabilities, including autism, mental health, chronic conditions (including rehabilitation) and cancer care. He has specific remit for for developing mistletoe therapy services locally and throughout the UK and is involved in education and research into their extended approach and has published on mistletoe therapy in peer reviewed journals.
Robert H. Jacobs NMD, PhD, HMD, D. Hom - How to change the Micro Environment of the body to reduce your risk of cancer and Laboratory Gene Testing to determine the most effective treatments for a person's cancer
Robert is the driving force behind Health Naural Limited. He is a Naturopath with over 27 years of experience in natural medicine - both in the UK and America. A qualified Naturopath and Homeopath, he is a member of the General Council and Register of Naturopaths and the Homeopathic Medical Association. He specialises in promoting:functional medicine testing, Immune system function, Hormone balance, Brain chemistry, Metabolism Energy levels, and Anti-ageing.
The seminar is for anyone who has cancer or has had cancer, their family and friends as well as health care professionals, carers, complementary therapists and individuals interested in Integrative Medicine. Question and answer sessions will be held during the day and there will be an opportunity to meet the speakers during refreshments.
