Event description

Description

Designed for kitchen staff, our fully-funded (part-funded by ESF) day course at Philleigh Way Cookery School is all about a balanced lifestyle for chefs. With long working hours and a fast-paced environment, it’s important to recognise and apply methods to ensure positive wellbeing and a healthy equilibrium between work and personal life, while making the most of time to do so.

Rupert Cooper, former professional rugby player and owner of Philleigh Way Cookery School will lead the interactive day at the beautiful 7-acre school nestled in Philleigh on the Roseland.

You will hear from working Chefs about how they have altered their lifestyle and adopted healthy solutions to overcome work and life pressure before endeavouring a healthy and delicious lunch prepared by Rupert.

The course will also explore the impact of different wellbeing choices on mental and physical health that will be suited for all capabilities. We will look at either an occupational strength session or getting outside for some light activity on the day with the potential for foraging or a mindful walk; showing attendees a proactive way to de-stress while productively collecting fresh, Cornish ingredients on a prime location (weather dependant).

This course is fully-funded for small hospitality businesses only. You will be contacted before the event to confirm your space and to check eligibility.
