Ligature Awareness & Protocol December 2025

To attend this course you will need a minimum of the one day Emergency First Aid at Work or Basic Life Support training.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Understand definitions of terms and guidelines

• Outline the benefits of an environmental assessment and risk reduction policy

• Perform an environmental suicide and ligature point risk assessment

• Support good practise in assessing and managing potential ligature riskafter.

• Perform emergency procedures and BLS

• Understand the process and procedures involved in delivering a theory-based and practical skills course in ligature protocol
