Light Up a Life 2021

Here at St John’s Hospice we take living seriously. With the help of our supporters, we provide specialised palliative care to more than 4,500 terminally ill patients and their families every year.

You could have a life-changing impact on someone with a life-limiting illness, as well as on their family and loved ones by taking part in our Light Up a Life Event this December.

Our Light Up a Life event is a time to celebrate all those who are dear to us and who have had an impact on our life, no matter how small, especially in the last 20 months.

The event will take place in the beautiful St John’s Wood Church located by Lord’s Roundabout and the evening will feature our beloved carol service sang by the church choir, readings from patients and staff from St John’s Hospice, and poem & carol singing from local schools.

The post-event reception will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground, with plenty of festive food and refreshments.

When: Monday 6th December, 6pm

Where: St John’s Wood Church, Lord’s Roundabout, London NW8 7NE and afterwards at Lord’s Cricket Ground for our reception

Since the first lockdown was declared, we have been here - our dedicated staff and volunteers have worked every single day to make sure that each person who comes to us can make the most of every day of life they have left, while approaching death in a manner that is informed, supported and free of pain.

It costs almost £7 million a year to run St John’s Hospice and we partly rely on voluntary donations to continue providing our vital services.

The event will be a chance to get to know our Hospice, talk to our staff and learn more about our work. We look forward to seeing you there!
