About this Event

Services

We are so pleased to announce that our Light up a Life 2020 Services are still able to go ahead. During these uncertain times it is so important that we can continue to come together safely to celebrate our loved ones as a community. Due to current Government Guidelines all our Services will now be ticket only entry to ensure the safety of our attendees, volunteers and staff. All Services (excluding Winsley) will start at 6pm.

Numbers for these Services are limited and are available on a first come first served basis only. If you would like to attend please reserve a place by signing up for a free ticket. There are separate tickets for each Service, so please do make sure you select the right Service that you would like to attend.

Our 12 noon Service at Winsley will also be available through a live stream on the day for those unable to attend a physical event as both Services are now sold out. We hope this enables us all to come together even at a time when we can’t physically meet. Details to access the live stream will be available via the Dorothy House website closer to the date.

Process on the day

Due to current Government Guidelines we have adopted strict rules on the day to ensure the safety of all attendees, volunteers and staff. We will be updating these rules and any needed regulations if at any point guidelines change. We will of course keep you updated on any changes.

Please ensure you arrive in good time for your allocated Service. We will have socially distanced queue systems in place to guide people into each Service, however, this will take longer than normal so please do be prepared to queue. For any attendee that is unable to queue please contact the fundraising team in advance so we can put suitable arrangements in place. events@dorothyhouse-hospice.org.uk

We are offering individual tickets and group tickets at a maximum of six per group to ensure we adhere to government guidelines.

Groups must stay within their bubble at all times. Under no circumstances should any attendee impede or encroach on any other individual's or group's space.

We will be asking all attendees to sanitise in and out of the Services, sanitising stations will be made available. We also ask that you make sure you are wearing a mask at all times once in the Service.

Unfortunately we will not be able to offer any access to toilets or be supplying hot food or drinks this year.

Once in the Service you will be asked to stay in your allocated space. We will be controlling the queue out of the Service so we politely ask that you remain in your allocated space until told to make your way out of the designated area.

We will be asking for all attendees' details for all tickets requested. Please ensure each attendee's name is entered correctly in case contact is needed post the event for track and trace.

We would like to thank you all in advance for staying safe during the Services. We would like to continue to come together as a community now more than ever and we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time to allow us to do so.
