Event description

Wednesday 5th February 13,00-16,00

How can you convince your future partners to invest in your business idea today?

Having a great idea often is not enough.

This workshop will help you transmit your passion and confidence when describing your business.

These two aspects are just some of the fundamental keys to pitching a business.

This business pitching workshop will give you the necessary knowledge to confidently stand up in front of a crowd and still transmit your passion and energy.

The pitching masterclass is a structured, engaging workshop that provides attendees with a framework they can use to create a compelling 3-minute pitch for their idea. Participants have the opportunity to create and deliver a pitch for their idea and receive feedback from facilitators and peers. Attendees leave the workshop with a pitching framework, a “first draft” pitch, recording of their pitch, and specific feedback and suggestions giving them tangible ideas for how to strengthen their pitches.

This is the second Lightbulb2020 workshop of the year and it is part of the annual Lightbulb Business Idea Pitching Competition organised by the University of Aberdeen for University of Aberdeen students regardless of the year of study or discipline.

This is a standalone workshop, so even if you’re not intending to take part in Lightbulb, this is still a valuable workshop to take part in

Lunch will be provided.
