Event description

Wednesday 29th January 13,00-16,00

Every business starts with an idea.

But how do you know which one of the many ideas you have will spark into an innovative company?

This exciting workshop is designed to help you generate more ideas and evaluate their potential.

Participants will be guided though a structured and proven effective idea generation process. Through the process, each participant will create a minimum of 5 different tangible business ideas to consider. Most importantly, in this highly interactive workshop they learn a repeatable process, complete with specific idea generation exercises, they can apply at any time.

The workshop will be structured in a way that:

Helps those without an idea, create a collection of realistic, yet unique ideas to consider.
Helps those who have an idea to use the ideation process to develop and shape their idea.
Help participants clearly and concisely communicate their idea (either new or existing).

Students will be supported in the development of their executive business summary as provided, this may consist of a ‘one-pager’ document highlighting key elements of their business idea.

This is the first Lightbulb2020 workshop of the year and it is part of the annual Lightbulb Business Idea Pitching Competition organised by the University of Aberdeen for University of Aberdeen students regardless of the year of study or discipline.

This is a standalone workshop, so even if you’re not intending to take part in Lightbulb, this is still a valuable workshop to take part in.

Lunch will be provided.
