Event description

Description

Gender inequalities in the film industry are never far from the spotlight - so what does it take for a woman to break through and succeed? Join our panel of women working in the industry who’ll share their experiences and insight into the tough but rewarding working world of film and television production.

The event is being hosted by Bradford UNESCO City of Film in partnership with BBC Radio Leeds. The debate will be recorded live for BBC Radio Leeds at the University of Bradford and will be broadcast on Backstage, the stations Arts & Culture Show, on Wednesday 6th March 7pm, to mark International Women’s Day later in the week.

Chaired by the University of Bradford’s lecturer in film and television studies, Dr Karen Thornton with BBC Radio Leeds, panellists include screenwriter Lisa Holdsworth, documentary maker Jin Craven, Bradford filmmaker Suman Hanif and Sally Ogden, Producer at True Vision Yorkshire.
